After your initial New Client Session, we will have an estimate of the length of time needed to get you on the right track. Depending on how complex your situation is and how long you’ve had issues, the length of time needed may be different. A typical length for an uncomplicated situation could be 6 months. More complex cases can be a year or two. It all depends on how far you need to go to achieve optimal health.

Health insurance is not designed to reimburse the time and resources that are found in a Functional Medicine practice. You will spend much more time with your consultant than you ever have with your health care provider. The focus is much different.
In Functional Medicine, much more time is taken to ensure you understand what is going on in your health. We teach techniques and methods for self-care that you will not learn at a typical doctor’s visit. Their focus is much different.
We are a fee-based service and are paid after the service is rendered. Please discuss payment options directly with us if you have concerns. You may also be eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement, the terms of which are decided by the contractual agreement between you, your employer and your insurance provider.
Our specialists at Functional Medicine Plus focus on strategies to address your root-cause issues. We cannot assume the role of primary care provider, work with insurances or manage hospital stays.
We can assist you to untangle the complexity of your care so that you can understand your situation in more detail. If we identify any concerns that need to be addressed in the traditional healthcare model, we will direct you back to your primary care provider.
